This is the third largest diamond in the world, weighing 407.48 carats, and also became the world's largest diamond that internally flawless. The unique stories behind this biggest yellow diamond is that this diamond was found by a little girl playing in pile of rubble in the town of Mbuji Mayi in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

2.  The Oppenheimer Diamond, a nearly perfectly-formed 253.7 carat. A carat is defined as exactly 200 mg. Sir Ernest Oppenheimer was a diamond and gold mining entrepreneur financier and philanthropist, who controlled De Beers and founded the Anglo American Corporation of South Africa.

The Donnersmarck Diamonds are pear-shaped yellow stone diamond weighing 82.48 carats and the magnificent cushion-shaped diamond weighing 102.54 carats. They were sold for $7,912,373. They were gifted by Furst Henckel von Donnersmarck, a German nobleman, industrial magnate and one of the richest men of his time, to his first wife, Pauline Therese Lachmann, a courtesan better known as La Paiva.

The Allnatt is another famous yellow diamond found in South Africa, a fancy vivid yellow diamond 101.29-carat cushion cut. Its color having been certified by the GIA as Fancy Vivid Yellow, VS2 clarity, is named after its former owner, Alfred Ernest Allnatt.
