Some 600 counterfeit 10,000 yen bills were brought to Japan's central bank by several different people. The bills were highly sophisticated with an old design including watermarks. Even bank workers at the Bank of Japan and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi could not detect their fakes. Some were brought in from Thailand. NGDlover archives
